This muscle, known as the Masseter, is responsible for chewing and biting. SUBMENTAL FAT DISSOLVING:
Submental fat dissolving techniques aim to improve the profile and appearance of moderate to severe fat deposits in the chin and neck area, often referred to as having a ‘double chin.’
Dr Edwina uses a specifically compounded product and injects it into the fat around the jawline neck and under the chin. The treatment duration is approximately 30 minutes, and will result in swelling, potentially mild bruising and firmness to the area injected. These symptoms resolve after 7-10 days, and results of fat reduction can be seen approximately 8 weeks after treatment.
It is recommended to receive at least 2 treatment series to see optimal results and an initial consultation is required for anyone considering the Lipodissolve procedure. In this consultation, Dr Edwina will assess your suitability for the procedure and run through all details, side effects and after-care, before booking the actual treatment. A Lipodissolve treatment may not be scheduled without an initial consultation.
